If you have already been affected by the disease, it is safe to go through a caesarean section. This will reduce the chance of infection during birth.
The breast milk of a woman with HIV contains enough viruses to infect a baby during breast feeding. So, avoid feeding the new born.
If a woman is infected with HIV, medical care and certain drugs given during pregnancy can lower the chance of passing HIV to her baby.
Take care of the hygiene factor. Make sure that you are affected by any STDs.
Have a healthy diet rich in vitamin A. Vitamin A deficiency can increase the chance of HIV infection in your baby.
Avoid smoking and other substance abuse.
