How to Adopt Healthy Contraception Methods?

Methods used to prevent pregnancy are called contraceptive methods. The different methods of birth control include use of condoms, taking pills, surgical sterilization, tubal ligation, use of intrauterine devices (IUDs) etc. Taking oral contraceptive pills prevent pregnancy by reducing premenstrual symptoms. This can cause headaches, chest pain, headaches, swelling of legs and thighs, weight gain and tenderness of the breast in a few. Intrauterine device is a small, plastic, flexible, T-shaped device that is placed into a woman’sĀ uterus for birth control. Some IUDs contain copper, which is slowly released into the uterine cavity. This prevents sperm to enter into the vagina. Side effects include pelvic inflammatory diseases, painful and heavy periods, backaches and headaches. Nuva ring is a small flexible contraceptive ring which is inserted manually into the vagina. It is left there for three weeks. There, a continuous, low dose of hormones is released. If the ring is removed for a week, the women will have their periods. The side effects include headaches, nausea, breast tenderness, weight gain etc. Women with heart troubles should avoid using nova ring. These methods of contraceptive are harmful to health. Condoms are one of the safest and healthiest methods for birth control. A condom is a thin covering made of latex, plastic, or animal membrane that is rolled over an erect penis. It does not have any side effects. It also provides protection from sexually transmitted diseases by preventing the infected area from coming into contact with the partner.
