How to do Bikini Hair Waxing?

Removing the hair grown at the public area is known as bikini waxing. It is commonly done by women who go to the beach wearing swim suits. This is done because it is embarrassing when public hair becomes visible around crotch area of swim suit. Pubic hair can be removed in a number of ways, including waxing, shaving, sugaring or using depilatory creams. Waxing is one of the most preferred methods of hair removal since it gives good results. There are various styles of removing bikini hair by waxing. Some of them include:


Brazilian bikini wax:

This involves the removal of all hair in the pelvic area, front and back, while sometimes leaving a thin strip of hair on the pubis. Hair is also removed from the buttocks, those lying adjacent to anus etc. Full Brazilian wax is also done removing completely the hair in the pelvic region.

French waxing:

Leaving a vertical strip in the front and above the vulva is known as French waxing. It is also known as half Brazilian wax.

American waxing:

It is the removal of only the pubic hair that is exposed by a swimsuit. For a bikini, the hair at the top of the thighs and under the navel is only removed. It is also known as a basic bikini wax

Bikini hair waxing is done by applying warm wax to the desired area. It is then covered with strips of cloth and pressed firmly. It is let to set till the wax hardens. The cloth is pulled off quickly to remove hair up from the roots.




  • Waxing applicators should not be reused. They should be disposed after use.
  • Make sure that the waxing supplies are sanitized and disposed of in a hygienic way after use
  • Never share the spatula for waxing
  • A patch test should be made a must if you are waxing for the first time.
  • Do not wax your bikini area if you have rashes, wounds or cuts or if you have any skin disease.
  • Do not exfoliate your skin immediately after waxing. Do it only two or three days after the process
  • Never expose yourself to sun after a bikini wax. Do not go to a beach or get yourself a tan after waxing your bikini area.
  • Refrain from using acid based skin products on the waxed region to prevent skin irritation.
  • Wear a loose fitting under garment after a bikini wax. Avoid wearing tight fitted clothing.
  • Trim the hair near the bikini area before waxing. This gives good results.
  • Do not try Brazilian hair removal on your genitals for your self. Always consult a professional.
  • Exfoliate your genital area three days before the waxing procedure
  • Use a clean and damp towel or napkin to wipe up any wax that may get on to the sides of your genitals.
  • Clean the area with alcohol to avoid infections of any kind.
  • Do not shave immediately after waxing
